Job Description:
As a Financial Planning Analyst Intern at Ludacka Wealth Partners, you will support our financial advisors and planning team by assisting with financial plan preparation, client meeting materials, documentation, and operational follow-through. This role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to the financial planning process while building a strong foundation in advisory operations, analytics, and client service.
This internship serves as an entry point into Ludacka Wealth Partners’ advisor and planning development track. Interns gain real-world experience in financial planning, analysis, and case preparation while working closely with experienced planners, analysts, and operations professionals. If your long-term goal is to be a financial advisor, this is how you start – by mastering planning & preparation, not by selling to friends & family.
Career Opportunity:
This internship is intended to develop future planning analysts, operations professionals, or advisors by providing structured exposure to the operational backbone of a financial planning firm. Interns begin by learning core planning and insurance operations fundamentals and, as proficiency is demonstrated, gain expanded exposure to financial plan construction, scenario modeling, and client meeting preparation.
Strong performance in this role may lead to consideration for future full-time roles in planning operations, financial planning, or the advisor development track at Ludacka Wealth Partners.
Core Role Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of financial plans and planning analyses to support client meetings, including cash flow, retirement projections, risk management, and scenario modeling
- Generate and maintain planning-related reports, illustrations, summaries, and meeting materials
- Support case preparation prior to client meetings, including data gathering, plan updates, and documentation review
- Maintain accurate data across planning software, CRM systems, and internal platforms
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, organization, and operational efficiency
- Gain exposure to investment operations processes such as account servicing, documentation review, and internal controls (training and supervision provided)
- Other duties as assigned
- This is an hourly position focused on planning and preparation- no sales or business development is involved.

- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in finance, business, accounting, economics, or a related field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; comfort learning new planning and CRM systems
- Ability to work year-round or during the academic year (preferred), with increased availability during summer months
