Financial Operations Intern

Job Description:

As a Financial Operations Intern at Ludacka Wealth Partners, you will support our advisory and operations teams by assisting with core business functions across the firm.  This role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to how a financial advisory practice operations day to day, with initial responsibilities focused on insurance operations and opportunities to expand into investment operations & firm-wide processes over time.

 

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and motivated individual who wants to learn how a high-performing financial services team operates behind the scenes.  Interns work closely with experience team members and gain real-world experience across multiple operational areas & contributing meaningful work. This is a part-time, paid internship with an emphasis on learning, development, and operational fundamentals- not sales or business development.

This internship is designed to provide broad exposure to the operational backbone of a financial advisory firm. Interns begin by learning insurance operations fundamentals and, as proficiency is demonstrated, may gain exposure to additional operational areas including investment operations, planning support, and internal process management. Successful interns develop a strong understanding of how advisors, planners, and operations teams work together to deliver a high-quality client experience. This role can serve as a pipeline into future full-time operations, planning, or advisor-track roles at Ludacka Wealth Partners.

 

Core Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist with insurance operations, including application processing, underwriting coordination, and case tracking for life, disability, and long-term care insurance.
  • Organize and maintain case files, status reports, and internal documentation to support smooth operational workflows.
  • Communicate with internal team members and external partners to help move cases forward.
  • Support transaction processing and administrative tasks related to client service and operations.
  • Gain exposure to investment operations processes such as account servicing, documentation review, and internal controls (training & supervision provided).
  • Assist with data entry and system updates across CRM & internal platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, organization, and operational efficiency across teams.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • This is an hourly position on the operations team – no sales or business development is required in this role

  • Ability to work through complex & ambiguous situations with limited formal authority
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and resolve issues independently
  • Comfort operating in in a fast-paced professional environment
  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • Ideally able to work year-round in-person with full-time hours during the summer and part-time hours during the school year
  • Insurance licensing: Life & Health licensed within 90 days of hire
