Schedule: varies by location
Responsibilities:
- Warmly welcome patients and prepare treatment rooms for hygiene procedures
- Update patients' health history and provide personalized oral hygiene education
- Conduct scaling, root planning, and fluoride application
- Identify periodontal and restorative issues, and facilitate dentist's treatment recommendations
- Interpret x-rays and conduct head, neck, and oral cancer exams
- Inspire patients to maintain proper oral hygiene and preventive measures
- Schedule follow-up appointments and keep a tidy, organized dental lab
- Adhere to safety, OSHA guidelines, and office standards
- Embrace learning opportunities, including occasional travel for continuing education or seminars
Requirements:
- Associate degree or higher from an ADA-accredited dental hygiene program
- Current state license and CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year of dental experience
- Certification in anesthesia preferred, if applicable
