Responsibilities:
- Foster a safe, comforting, and engaging exam room atmosphere
- Sterilize and deliver instruments to treatment area, assist during procedures, and manage radiographic studies
- Maintain equipment and handle preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
- Manage inventory, anticipate supply needs, and verify receipt of supplies
- Document dental care services in patient records
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Diploma or certificate from a CODA-accredited Dental Assistant program
- Current state DA license, or DANB CDA if applicable by state, ICE & RHS Certifications
- CPR Certification
- Minimum 2 years of dental office experience (required)
- Proficiency with dental software (a plus!)
