Responsibilities:

  • Foster a safe, comforting, and engaging exam room atmosphere
  • Sterilize and deliver instruments to treatment area, assist during procedures, and manage radiographic studies
  • Maintain equipment and handle preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Manage inventory, anticipate supply needs, and verify receipt of supplies
  • Document dental care services in patient records
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Diploma or certificate from a CODA-accredited Dental Assistant program
  • Current state DA license, or DANB CDA if applicable by state, ICE & RHS Certifications
  • CPR Certification
  • Minimum 2 years of dental office experience (required)
  • Proficiency with dental software (a plus!)
