Caregiver Internship – Home Care (BrightStar Care of Appleton) 
Pay: $13-15/hr

BrightStar Care of Appleton is offering a hands-on Caregiver Internship for students or career changers who want real-world experience in home care, senior care, nursing, or health services. You’ll work directly with clients in their homes while building core caregiving skills under the support of our professional team.

You will build substantial clinical experience by helping clients with daily activities, observing changes in their health, and communicating with a nursing-led team - exactly the kind of direct contact many programs prefer.  

You will also develop core competencies admissions committees care about, like empathy, service orientation, communication, reliability, and cultural sensitivity, and you’ll gain concrete stories and supervisor references you can use in personal statements and interviews. 

What You’ll Do as a Caregiver Intern 

Provide supervised personal care and companionship to clients. 

Assist with daily activities: meals, mobility, light housekeeping, errands, etc 

Engage clients through conversation, simple activities, and presence. 

Observe and report changes in client conditions to the office/clinical team. 

What You’ll Need 

Some experience caring for others (family, volunteer, or paid) preferred. 

Valid driver’s license and insured, reliable transportation. 

Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and perform basic physical tasks. 

Open to all majors including pre-health students 

18 years old and above
