Woodshop Instructor
We are hiring woodshop instructors! Our campers love the woodshop and the wide range of projects they can complete. The shop is equipped with drafting tables, tools for wood burning and power tools appropriate for the different aged campers.
The Art Center has three departments: arts and crafts, woodworking and ceramics. All three work together to teach age-appropriate lessons to our campers, who have a large range of experience. Each is stocked with a diverse array of materials, all available for lesson plans as well as personal use. Counselors in these areas will have the opportunity to develop their own projects and inspire campers to pursue their own creativity. The art center staff will also collaborate on larger-scale projects, from paper mache dinosaurs to clay villages and more.
In addition to the Art Center, we also have a darkroom for black and white photography, a Media Center for animation, video, and digital photography, and a Playhouse for drama, music, and radio.
Camp Androscoggin is a boys residential camp in central Maine. Position dates are June 19th to August 14th, 2026. The positions are paid, and travel, room, and board are all included.
Androscoggin is the summer home for 250 boys between ages 8 and 15 and 100 staff. For over a century, campers and counselors have been playing sports, participating in a host of individual activities, forming life-long friendships, and sharing summers to remember on our 120-acre lakeside campus.

Our staff goes on day and overnight trips with their campers. Staff can use the camp facilities during time off.
