Weekend Parkour Coach

Weekend Parkour Coach / Program Assistant

Location: Steel City Parkour 2080 Borland Farm Rd Export, PA 15632

Schedule: Saturdays 10am-8pm and/or Sundays 12pm-8pm (part-time)

Position Type: Part-Time

 

Position Overview

We are looking for a positive, energetic Weekend Parkour Coach / Program Assistant to help oversee weekend programs including classes, open gyms, and birthday parties. No prior parkour experience is required — we are primarily looking for someone who enjoys working with children, can help maintain a safe environment, and is comfortable leading groups. Training will be provided.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with and oversee parkour classes for children of various ages and skill levels

     
  • Supervise open gym sessions to ensure safety and rule compliance

     
  • Help coordinate birthday parties, including group management while facilitating games

     
  • Support lead coaches during classes and events

     
  • Monitor equipment and gym space for safety

     
  • Help with warm-ups, basic movement activities, and transitions between stations

     
  • Provide encouragement and positive reinforcement to participants

     
  • Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and participants

     
  • Maintain a fun, inclusive, and welcoming environment
  • Contribute to upholding a clean, sanitary, and organized facility

 

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children (coaching, teaching, childcare, camps, tutoring, etc.)

     
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

     
  • Ability to manage groups of children in an active environment

     
  • Dependable, reliable, and punctual with consistent weekend availability

     
  • Willingness to learn parkour basics and safety standards
  • At least 16 years old with personal transportation

     

Preferred (But Not Required)

  • Background in childcare, education, recreation, healthcare or youth programs

     
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)

     
  • Experience in sports, fitness, gymnastics, dance, or movement-based activities
