Marketing Intern - Inlet Dance Theatre
Position Overview:
Working with the Executive/Artistic Director (EAD) and the Managing
Director (MD), the Marketing Intern will assist in marketing related tasks as we work towards expanding and strengthening our overall marketing strategy. Sample tasks this summer would nclude video documentation of rehearsals and performances, creating edited video shorts for various marketing needs, photography, website updates and archiving.
Main functions:
Assist the Executive/Artistic Director (EAD) in the creation of filmed products,
whether for in-house produced PR/Marketing, social media, or for virtual and/or online programming.
Key/Responsibilities:
Assist the MD and EAD with ideation, implementation, and execution of video-based content needed for any Inlet-related online platform.
Duties including:
Oversee the capturing of video footage during rehearsals and our Summer Dance Intensive
- Oversee doc shot footage of all performances, transfer footage to Vimeo
- Oversee interview footage with Inlet staff or dancers for various video shorts
- Editing non-linear audio and video using Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere and Flash, etc. to create various video shorts as directed by MD and EAD
- Providing best practices expertise related to the online presentation of video and audio content.
- Meet expected deadlines for all edited video content
- Capturing and process photographic images of the company, including headshots, informal rehearsal shots and performance photos.
- Edit images and store in database.
- Assist in maintaining and updating Inlet’s website with new images and videos
- Archiving old photo and video footage from the company’s archives
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing a degree in arts administration, photography, film/videography or related field
- Strong interest in photography and videography
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Adobe Premiere software or another comparable video/audio application
- Proficient with Vimeo & Google Drive platforms
- Ability to operate a handheld Sony Camera manually and with a tripod
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Working conditions:
Inlet Dance Theatre’s office and rehearsal studio is located at Pivot Center for Art, Dance & Expression, 2937 West 25th St, Suite D, Cleveland, OH 44113
Hours: exact schedule to be confirmed with MD and Intern at the start of internship.
Approx 28 hours per week (252 hours in total), some evening and weekend work may be required. At-home work hours are also acceptable.
