Software Engineer
FourMeasure is an early-stage consumer technology startup building a mobile application focused on music discovery and social engagement. We are looking for a small number of motivated computer science students to work directly on our live production app and contribute across the entire tech stack.
This role is designed for students who are comfortable learning an existing codebase. You will collaborate closely with the founder and core developer on real product work that ships to users.
Expected Responsibilities
- Contribute to frontend development using React.js and related technologies
- Assist with backend development using Node.js, including APIs and data handling
- Support mobile application development and feature updates
- Debug, test, and improve existing functionality in a live production app
- Learn and work within an existing codebase and backend architecture
- Collaborate on feature planning and technical decisions with the founder and core developer
- use modern development workflows and version control (git, bitbucket)
- Gradually take ownership of features as familiarity with the system grows
Minimum Requirements
- Computer Science major or related technical field
- Strong programming fundamentals
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
- Familiarity with Node.js and/or React.js
- Basic understanding of databases and cloud-based systems
- Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and adapt to an existing codebase
