Internship Overview

The IT Intern will work alongside Thatcher’s IT team to support day-to-day technology operations while gaining exposure to enterprise systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity practices, and business applications. This role provides real-world experience in a fast-paced industrial environment where technology directly supports production, logistics, and corporate operations.

What You’ll Do

Provide frontline IT support including troubleshooting hardware, software, and user access issues

Assist with system setup, imaging, and deployment of laptops, desktops, and mobile devices

Support network, server, and infrastructure projects as assigned

Assist with documentation of IT processes, procedures, and asset tracking

Support cybersecurity initiatives such as user access management and system compliance checks

Assist with HRIS, ERP, and business system support as needed

Participate in intern cohort meetings, professional development sessions, and team projects

What We’re Looking For

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field

Strong interest in IT infrastructure, systems support, and business technology

Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, hardware troubleshooting, and networking fundamentals

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Professionalism and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

Previous internship, help desk, or technical support experience

Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, ticketing systems, or cloud platforms

Interest in manufacturing, operations technology, or enterprise systems

Experience with scripting, automation, or data tools is a plus
