Physician Assistant Gastroenterology/Hepatology

AAA Gastrointestinal PC is a well-established private gastroenterology practice affiliated with Mount Sinai Hospital, conveniently located in Washington Heights, Manhattan. Our practice specializes in general gastroenterology and hepatology, providing comprehensive diagnosis and treatment to a diverse patient population. We are supported by Gramercy Park Digestive Disease Center and pride ourselves on delivering efficient, high-quality, and compassionate care in a collaborative clinical environment.
We are currently seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) Physician Assistant to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
Conduct patient visits for new and established patients under physician supervision
Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform detailed physical examinations
Order and interpret medications, laboratory tests, and diagnostic studies related to GI and liver conditions
Collaborate closely with physicians and care team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Document all clinical findings accurately and in a timely manner in the medical record
Provide patient education on diagnoses, medications, procedures, and treatment plans
Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Opportunity to learn and assist with specialized procedures including:
GI motility testing
Video capsule endoscopy
Elastography (FibroScan)
Qualifications
Licensed Physician Assistant (PA) in New York State – Required
Current NCCPA Certification – Required
BLS and ACLS Certification – Required
Graduate of an accredited ARC-PA program – Required
Fluent in Spanish and English – Required
Prior gastroenterology experience preferred, but not required
Professional references – Recommended
