Who we are: Legio Vox Studios is a fully remote team focusing on creating new worlds through mobile game development. Using the Unity game engine, 2D illustrations, and elaborate narratives, we create a riveting world for all players to experience. We were founded to continue our work on The End of the Line New Age, in 2020. We’ve been a fully self-funded and independent team for the past 4 years. Internship Description:
Interns will work alongside the Creative Director, Art Director, and other team members to improve, bug fixes, and optimize our Pre-Beta game The End of the Line New Age. In addition, work includes porting the game’s vertical slice to MacOS and IOS and fixing any bugs within. Additionally, interns should utilize their outside perspective to help optimize future workflow, improving documentation, in-code commenting, and more.
What is The End of the Line New Age?
The End of the Line New Age is a mobile RPG (Gacha) with a focus on narrative, immersion, and decision-making. Players take on the role of “The Conductor” who leads their growing team of post-apocalyptic scavengers on a journey to the mythical “End of the Line” where salvation supposedly awaits them. During their journey, players make narrative decisions that can cause both short and long-term consequences, putting each player in control of their story.
The End of the LIne New Age was built utilizing a bespoke toolset designed to allow our designers to quickly and easily create content at a pace demanded for by a live service game. With these tools, we can create choice and consequence-based content that allows for massively divergent outcomes in each chapter.
As an intern with Legio Vox your Learning Objectives will be:
- Interacting with an improving an expansive existing code-base
- We have developed a suite of bespoke in-engine tools, interns will have access to the full suite of tools and documentation.
- Interns should learn how these tools function and how they can be improved, bug-fixed, and optimized to assist future development.
- Mac and IOS specific issues
- Interns will also assist in porting existing content to Mac and IOS platforms in addition to overcoming bugs and issues specific to those platforms.
We are seeking candidates who are:
Open to: Undergraduate sophomores or juniors
Majors/fields: Computer science and Software Engineers
Must have Experience with Unity, MacOS, IOS, and addressable assets
It would good to have experience with Odin Inspector and Naninovel Unity Assets
When: an 12-week program from August 2024
Interns should expect to work about 20 hours a week, with 2 scheduled meetings each week.
