Secretary to the Counseling Office & Registrar
Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting students, families, and educators? Marshfield High School is seeking a Secretary to the Counseling Office & Registrar to serve as a key member of our student services team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining accurate student records, supporting counselors, and ensuring a welcoming, professional front office experience.
Position Overview:
The Secretary to the Counseling Office & Registrar provides confidential clerical and administrative support to counselors, administrators, students, families, and community members. This role requires professionalism, discretion, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced school setting.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Maintaining confidential student records and data
- Processing student enrollments, withdrawals, transfers, transcripts, and college applications
- Scheduling appointments and supporting counselors and student services staff
- Calculating GPAs, class rank, and coordinating grading and reporting processes
- Serving as a welcoming first point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors
- Supporting graduation activities, registration, and other school events
- Providing excellent customer service while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Work Hours:
7:00 am - 3:30 pm (8-hours/day) 30 minute duty-free lunch; Monday - Friday. No nights or weekends!
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Post-secondary education or training in a related field preferred
- One year of clerical or office experience preferred
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and student success
