The Bergel Institute Fellowship

The Bergel Institute is now accepting applications for its inaugural fellowship program. The Institute is dedicated to advancing human knowledge and the human condition through research and project development in six core areas: Economics, Science, Technology, Consciousness, Health, and Culture.

The Institute seeks fellows who are ready to pursue substantive change—whether through detailed research, organizational development, or innovative projects that challenge accepted norms and test assumptions against evidence.

Fellowships for the 2026 / 2027 term will be focused on one of the following areas:

• Bringing an end to the poverty-violence connection in the US
• Building a fully resourced community
• Using AI to expand economic opportunity
• Cutting edge or pseudoscience?
• Expanding our understanding of health and healing

Fellowship Details:

• $30,000 annual stipend
• June 2026 – May 2027 (primarily virtual)
• 20 hours per week of intensive study
• Two paid visits to Florida for presentations
• Active mentorship and structured support
• Open to individuals of all ages, regardless of academic affiliation
• February 28, 2026 deadline
