About the Internship

Marketing Choices is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated WordPress Website Manager Intern to join our remote internship program. This unpaid, educational internship is designed for students or recent graduates who want practical experience managing WordPress websites, maintaining site performance, and supporting digital marketing initiatives.

Interns will work under the guidance of our Digital Marketing team and gain real-world experience managing client websites while learning industry best practices.

Responsibilities

Website Management & Maintenance

• Assist with managing and maintaining WordPress websites for multiple clients
• Perform routine site updates, content changes, and page edits
• Monitor website functionality, performance, and uptime

Content & Design Support

• Upload and format blog posts, landing pages, and website content
• Assist with basic design updates using WordPress themes and page builders (e.g., Elementor, Gutenberg)
• Ensure consistent branding, layout, and formatting across sites

Technical Support

• Update WordPress core, themes, and plugins
• Troubleshoot basic website issues and escalate more complex problems as needed
• Assist with website backups, security checks, and performance optimization

SEO & Analytics Support

• Assist with on-page SEO tasks (meta titles, descriptions, image optimization)
• Monitor website analytics and performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics and Search Console
• Support website improvements based on performance insights

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Web Design, Marketing, Communications, IT, Computer Science, or a related field
• Working knowledge of WordPress (themes, plugins, page editors)
• Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple websites
• Willingness to learn and take feedback

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Experience with Elementor, Divi, or similar page builders
• Basic SEO knowledge
• Familiarity with website hosting platforms and domain management
• Experience using Google Analytics or Search Console
