Psychometrist and Clinical Associate
Growing Minds Psychology PLLC is a pediatric-focused psychology and neuropsychology practice specializing in comprehensive evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults with learning, attention, developmental, and emotional differences. We are seeking a full-time Psychometrist / Clinical Associate to join our clinical team beginning August or September 2026, with a minimum two-year commitment.
This position is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented individual seeking advanced clinical experience in assessment, with the potential for expanded clinical technician responsibilities with appropriate training and supervision.
Position Overview
The Psychometrist / Clinical Associate plays a central role in the assessment process, working closely with licensed psychologists and neuropsychologists. The role involves test administration support, scoring, clinical coordination, patient interaction, and collateral data gathering.
With demonstrated competence, professionalism, and clinical judgment, there may be opportunities to transition into a more advanced clinical technician role over time, under close supervision and in accordance with professional standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Scoring and organizing cognitive, academic, neuropsychological, and social-emotional assessment measures
- Preparing and maintaining assessment score sheets, testing materials, and clinical packets
- Assisting with initial intake and screening calls, including gathering preliminary background information from families
- Conducting classroom or school-based observations, when indicated
- Interacting professionally and compassionately with children, adolescents, parents, and caregivers
- Supporting clinicians with test preparation, data organization, and workflow coordination
- Maintaining strict confidentiality and adherence to ethical and professional standards
Additional responsibilities may include expanded clinical technician duties with training and supervision, contingent on demonstrated readiness and fit
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Psychology or related field strongly preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfort working with children and families in a clinical setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional demeanor, reliability, and maturity
- Ability to commit to a full-time schedule and a minimum two-year term
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with psychological, psychoeducational, or neuropsychological testing
- Interest in pediatric psychology, neuropsychology, education, or clinical research
- Plans to pursue graduate training (PhD, PsyD, or related clinical programs)
- Familiarity with standardized testing environments (not required)
