The South Columbia Basin Irrigation District is accepting applications for the position of Engineer.
SUMMARY: Provides general engineering support for operation and maintenance activities and modifications of irrigation facilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of basic engineering and construction practices and principles. Strong math skills. Superior oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation, or equivalent drafting software. Ability to generate plans, charts, and graphs using word processing and spreadsheet software. Ability to create, interpret, and communicate engineering plans and specifications. Understanding of GIS and GPS a plus. Valid Washington State driver’s license required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree in Agricultural or Civil Engineering required. EIT with 2 years of experience preferred. Recent graduates with limited experience are welcome to apply.
