Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent

POSITION: Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of high school diploma/post secondary education preferred
  • Five years’ experience in a related job area
  • Detail oriented, independent worker, and self-starter needing little direction
  • Computer experience with a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, database management, and other software as needed
  • Working knowledge of common office equipment and office procedures
  • Well versed in oral and written communication
  • Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality

REPORTS TO: Superintendent of Schools

JOB GOAL: To enhance student achievement by assisting the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in efficient operation of the SAU #9 office.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain the highest level of ethical behavior and confidentiality as it regards school business.
  • Prepare agendas, board reports, and related material for school board and committee meetings.
  • Assemble statistical and narrative materials and prepare annual school district reports for printers. Prepares warrants for all school district meetings.
  • Maintain school board policy manuals.
  • Maintain homeschool files and related correspondence.
  • Prepare and submit material for reports to the NHDOE (calendar, school board membership, teacher salary schedule data, ESOL data entry, fall reports, etc.).
  • Performs any other relevant task that may be assigned by the Superintendent.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: In accordance with the Personnel Policies for SAU #9 employees.

WORK YEAR: 260 days per year, 8 hours per day

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the SAU #9 Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel. The Superintendent of Schools will be the evaluator.
