Position Summary

The Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment for children ages 3–5. The teacher will plan and implement lessons that support early literacy, math, social-emotional development, and motor skills while fostering a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate, engaging lessons aligned with early childhood standards
  • Create a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Use positive behavior guidance and classroom management strategies
  • Observe, document, and assess student progress
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with families regarding student growth and needs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
  • Collaborate with administrators and team members to support school goals
  • Follow all school policies, state licensing requirements, and safety procedures

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
  • Previous experience working with preschool-aged children
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to pass background check and meet state licensing requirements
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
