Intern with Pashek + MTR!
Pashek + MTR, a landscape architecture and community planning studio based on Pittsburgh’s North Side, is looking for a talented, curious design student to join us as a Communications Design Intern for the summer of 2026.
The successful candidate will be embedded in our work, helping to translate big ideas about communities into visuals that inform, inspire, and invite participation in our projects.
You’ll get to:
- Help lead our storytelling – think short-form videos, social content, and creative digital pieces that bring projects to life.
- Design graphics for community planning, urban design, landscape architecture and parks and recreation projects.
- Collaborate with staff members to shape visual themes, branding, and narratives, both online and in print.
- Create engagement materials that make public processes more inclusive and meaningful.
- Get a behind-the-scenes look at how a creative studio actually runs.
- Build relationships with professionals who care deeply about design, equity, and place.
- Further refine and articulate Pashek+MTR’s brand ethos as a leader in sustainability and community empowerment.
If you’re excited by the idea that good design work can spark conversation and make complex ideas more accessible – and you want hands-on experience doing exactly that – we'd love to work with you. We are looking for a junior, senior or graduate-level student with exceptional graphic skills and proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. The successful candidate must have strong communication skills and an eye for detail. Experience in web design and/or video editing would be a bonus.
