Field Engineer
Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

You are:
The Field Engineer will play a critical role in delivering environmental compliance services to our industrial clients. We are seeking a high-achieving, motivated engineer with a strong drive to succeed and a genuine desire to learn and grow. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, field experience, and exceptional client service and problem solving skills. This role involves up to 25% travel for site visits and field work.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments to evaluate potential environmental contamination and liability
- Perform comprehensive field work, including stormwater sampling, quarterly environmental site inspections, and annual comprehensive site inspections
- Interface directly with clients to provide technical guidance, project updates, and regulatory compliance recommendations
- Prepare detailed technical reports, permit applications, and regulatory agency correspondence
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, scientists, and project managers to deliver comprehensive environmental solutions
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, or similar engineering discipline
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time to client sites for field work
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar software for drawing site plans and technical illustrations
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience in environmental compliance, consulting, or a closely related field
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong client relationships and communicate complex technical concepts effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, particularly NPDES permitting and stormwater management
- Experience with environmental sampling techniques and field data collection methods preferred
