Long-Term Substitute High School Math Teacher
Somers Public Schools is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Math Teacher at Somers High School. This assignment will run from approximately March 23, 2026 through the end of the 2025-2026 school year.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide appropriate educational opportunities, instruction, and assessments tailored to each student's needs and abilities
- Prepare lesson plans; demonstrate knowledge and application of subject matter
- Maintain accurate records, tests, and reports as required by Connecticut statutes, regulations, and Board of Education policy
- Establish and maintain open communication with parents; establish and maintain good rapport with students, families, and school personnel
- Implement Board of Education and school-based mission, goals, policies and procedures in order to uphold school regulations and meet student needs
- Establish and maintain a learning environment that is conducive to teaching and learning; plan and implement use of classroom time effectively
