Position Overview

Camp Lindenmere is seeking enthusiastic and skilled Tennis Instructors to join our summer team! As a Tennis Instructor, you will help campers of all ages and skill levels develop their tennis abilities while fostering a love for the sport. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about tennis, working with kids, and creating an engaging and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead daily tennis lessons for campers aged 7-16, tailored to different skill levels.

• Provide individualized coaching to help campers improve technique, strategy, and confidence on the court.

• Organize fun and competitive tennis tournaments, matches, and challenges.

• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment, ensuring all campers feel included and encouraged.

• Monitor the condition of tennis equipment and courts, reporting any issues to camp leadership.

• Collaborate with other camp staff to contribute to the overall camp experience.

• Serve as a mentor and role model, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and camp values.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience playing and/or coaching tennis; prior instructor experience is preferred.

• Strong communication and leadership skills.

• Enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for working with children.

• Ability to create a positive and engaging environment for campers of varying skill levels.

• Availability to reside at camp for the full duration of the summer season (June to August).

• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
