Summer Farm Camp Counselor
We are seeking energetic, responsible, and creative student leaders to serve as Camp Counselors for our 2026 Summer Farm Camp. Counselors support daily activities including animal care, outdoor farm play, STEAM projects, craft workshops, and group games while helping maintain a safe and positive camp environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise groups of campers ages 4–12
- Lead or assist with structured activities (farm chores, crafts, science, outdoor games, etc.)
- Support animal interactions with goats, alpacas, chickens, and rabbits
- Help with setup, cleanup, transitions, and camper safety
- Provide positive behavior management and role-model leadership
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and staff
- Uphold farm safety protocols and animal welfare standards
Qualifications
Required:
- Must be at least 18 by start date
- Enthusiastic, patient, and enjoys working with children
- Comfortable working outdoors in summer weather
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable transportation
Preferred:
- Experience with camps, youth programs, farms, or education
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Interest in education, animal science, recreation, health science, childhood development, or leadership roles
Schedule
- Camp runs Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4 PM
- Training week begins June 1
- Counselors commit to at least 7 of 11 camp weeks (flexible scheduling available)
