Preschool Ministry Director
Overview & Position
Cerritos Presbyterian Church (KAPC denomination), located in Artesia, California, is seeking a part-time Preschool Ministry Director or Pastor to lead and nurture our youngest members and their families.
We are prayerfully looking for someone with a genuine love for Jesus, a deep heart for children, and a passion for partnering with families in the spiritual formation of their children. This individual will play a vital role in shaping a joyful, Christ-centered environment for our preschool ministry.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pastoral care and spiritual oversight for children ages 2–4 and their families
- Prepare and lead weekly Sunday worship services at 9:15 AM and 11:00 AM
- Recruit, train, and equip a team of teachers to lead Bible study during each service
- Oversee and coordinate annual ministry events, including Vacation Bible School (summer) and Heavenly Night (fall)
Qualifications
- Background and degree in Christian education or a related field (Preferred)
- Bilingual in Korean and English (Preferred)
- Familiarity with Reformed theology and a willingness to teach within the Reformed Presbyterian tradition (Required)
- Previous experience working with young children in a church, preschool, or ministry setting (Preferred)
- Experience in leading or supporting children’s or family ministry programs (Preferred)
