Program Administrator Doctoring Year 2

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is located at the BU medical campus and is a great opportunity to learn about medical education and the technologies and methods used to help train future physicians.  The job is temporary for 1 month with the possibility for longer term employment as we search for an administrator for the Doctoring Year 2 course.  Doctoring Year 2 is a second-year medical school course focused on teaching communication, physical exam, and clinical reasoning skills through lectures, small groups, online learning modules, clinical learning with 4th year medical students, and clinical placements in the outpatient and inpatient settings.

The Program Administrator works closely with faculty and staff to support course operations, coordinate logistics, communicate with students and faculty, and help implement quality improvement initiatives.  This is a student facing hybrid position (must be on campus when class is in session).  BA with 1-3 years of work experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate course logistics and schedules for students, faculty, and simulated patients.
  • Support communications and respond to student and faculty inquiries.
  • Organize and assist with in-person and online course activities.
  • Arrange student clinical experiences and assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage evaluation processes.
  • Collaborate with the Doctoring Team and other administrators to ensure smooth course operations and continuous improvement.
  • Utilize educational software and tools as needed.
  • Use a variety of software products including:
    • MS Excel Suite
    • Google Suite
    • Blackboard Ultra
    • MedHub evaluation software
    • Learning Space/Elevate Clinical Assessment software
