2026 Summer Undergraduate Internship: Marketing and Compliance Intern (Paid)

Job Description

The Quincy Mutual Internship Program offers undergraduate students a meaningful opportunity to explore the inner workings of the property and casualty insurance industry. While interns will gain broad exposure to the company through overview sessions, cross-department introductions, and professional development activities, their day-to-day experience will center on a deeper immersion within a designated department. Guided by experienced Quincy Mutual professionals, interns will build practical skills, expand their industry knowledge, and gain hands-on experience tailored to their specific area of focus.

Position Summary

The Marketing and Compliance Intern will support the Marketing Operations teams through a variety of administrative, analytical, and field-based projects. This role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to insurance marketing operations, agency management, licensing, and compliance processes, while offering the intern a high-level view of how cross-functional teams collaborate. The intern will assist with document management, system updates, data organization, and field exposure with marketing representatives.

Principal Accountabilities

Planning and Delivery

Attend Production and Marketing Team meetings to gain exposure to departmental strategy, workflows, and objectives.

Assist with archiving, scanning, and filing legacy and out-of-date agency contracts into ImageRight.

Support back termination of agencies and codes by locating, validating, or drafting termination documentation.

Generate and organize individual agency and group files to support centralized marketing representative notes and call documentation.

Participate in local, day-trip agency travel with Marketing Representatives as assigned.

Business Insight and Analytics

Review and document current contract signees to assist with strategic goals for the Marketing department in 2026.

Assist in validating agency and licensing data across systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Help organize and structure data repositories to improve accessibility and reporting for marketing and compliance teams.

Communication and Relationship Building

Coordinate with internal stakeholders to obtain missing documentation or clarification related to contracts, terminations, or codes.

Communicate progress, issues, and findings clearly to supervisors and project leads.

Leadership

Demonstrate initiative by identifying gaps in documentation, data, or processes and escalating concerns appropriately.

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive agency and licensing information.

Model accountability, organization, and attention to detail in all assigned tasks.

Job Requirements

Experience

Prior internship, coursework, or experience in marketing, business administration, compliance, insurance, or a related field preferred.

Exposure to document management or administrative processes is a plus.

Education

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Risk Management & Insurance, or a related discipline.

Eligibility & Program Details

  • College Students in an undergraduate program (who are rising juniors or seniors) are invited to apply
  • Full-Time Paid Experience (37.5 hours per week) / No credits offered
  • Internship will follow a hybrid work schedule, at least three days per week in the office
  • Office Location: 57 Washington Street, Quincy MA 02169
  • This position requires the student to be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
