Child Support Case Manager

Chippewa County is accepting applications for a Child Support Case Manager within the Child Support Department. The job duties of the Child Support Case Manager include but not limited to specialized technical work managing an assigned caseload providing services to establish, modify, and enforce court orders in a manner consistent with State and Federal laws that govern the administration of the Child Support Program; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Paralegal, or other related field required
  • Two (2) years of recent experience in a legal office setting or other related public service agency required
  • Experience in civil legal process and knowledge of the principles and practices of law enforcement is preferred
  • Experience working directly with the general public is preferred
  • Ability to interpret information from income tax forms, health insurance policies, and other financial and legal forms is preferred
  • Knowledge of child support system is preferred
  • Must be bondable
  • Notary/Ability to obtain Notary if required
  • Valid drivers license required

Starting Wage: $26.84 - $29.17 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $35.00 per hour
