Human Resources Analyst- City of Vestavia Hills

JOB SUMMARY:

The City of Vestavia Hills is seeking a well-qualified and motivated Human Resources Analyst to perform a wide range of paraprofessional human resources functions. This position is responsible for receiving, reviewing, and processing human resources requests from both management and employees, as well as providing guidance and information on a variety of human resources topics. Human Resources Analysts perform confidential and high-level administrative work with a high degree of autonomy and are expected to possess substantial knowledge of human resources practices, including hiring and onboarding, employee grievance procedures, compensation, and benefits. In addition, Human Resources Analysts may conduct special studies, assignments, or projects that involve researching and analyzing data to support management’s human resources–related decision-making. This role serves in an advisory capacity to agency management and employees on a broad range of human resources issues.
