The Role
The Engineering Intern works in partnership with the Project Engineer and Design Engineer for delivery of BlastOne Integrated & Automated Solutions projects. The successful candidate will support delivery of project designs, product improvements, and generation of product documentation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, models, and documentation used in the design, fabrication, and assembly of mechanical components and systems. Working under the direction of engineers and project managers, this role transforms design concepts, sketches, and specifications into models and associated drawings that meet company standards.
- Prepare accurate 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems using CAD software.
- Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and notes to produce detailed designs.
- Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and manufacturing teams to ensure drawings are feasible for production.
- Maintain organized drawing files, records, and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
- Support prototype development and assist in resolving design-related issues during manufacturing.

Work SCHEDULE
M-F between hours of 8am-5pm
We are looking for an intern that is interested in working full time during breaks and off semesters. The ideal candidate would be available for full time for one semester per year, plus summers and holiday breaks. In addition, the ability to work 10-15 hours per week while attending school would be ideal.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Enrolled in College and pursuing a BS in mechanical engineering or technology.
- 1+ years of experience in mechanical drafting or design support (preferred).
- Limited exposure to SolidWorks CAD software, tech savvy.
