Seeking a Communications Intern – Chicago (Winter/Spring)
Ready to kick-start your career in communications? CS-Effect is looking for a driven, curious, and creative intern to join our Winter/Spring internship program in Chicago!
This role requires candidates to be based in the Chicago area and able to come into our office for in-person collaboration, mentorship, and team meetings.
CS-Effect is a certified women-owned strategic communications agency that partners with an exciting mix of clients—from corporations and professional service firms to associations and nonprofits. As an intern, you will be part of the action, contributing to real client work and gaining hands-on experience that truly sets you apart.

Who should apply:
Current college students or recent graduates based in the Chicago area with an interest in communications, PR, marketing. Bonus if you have experience with graphic design or video production.
What you’ll do:
- Draft foundational communications materials such as news releases, media alerts, fact sheets, and client meeting summaries
- Help develop and execute social media outreach, including announcing new clients, sharing trends, and promoting research
- Assist with website updates and social media content creation
- Build and update media lists
- Track media coverage and support month-end client reporting
- Assist with administrative tasks and special projects
- Support client work, business development, and firm initiatives as needed
