Intern, Employee Benefits Consulting

Job Overview: Intern – Employee Benefits Consulting

Brown & Brown, Southborough

Meet Brown & Brown

Brown & Brown, Southborough (B&B) is a leading health and welfare employee benefits consulting firm. Founded in 2002 as Strategic Benefit Advisors and acquired by Brown & Brown (NYSE: BRO) in 2015, our firm has expanded its reach and become a national leader in employee benefits consulting. B&B works with a diverse group of regional, national, and global employers – from household names in life sciences, technology, and health care, to many of the top colleges and universities.

Make an impact. Employee benefits are a central part of people’s lives and key to an employer’s ability to attract and retain talent. Employee benefits also have the power to impact an individual’s physical, emotional, and financial well-being, and organizations’ diversity, equity, and inclusion goals. B&B is at the center of these important pursuits. To supplement our core consulting practice and better serve our clients, we have built out several robust “specialty” teams, including data analytics, population health, clinical practice, well-being, communication and engagement, and actuarial science and benefit finance.

Build your career. While we have the strength and resources of a 17,000+ teammate, Fortune 1000 company, our Southborough office operates independently and gives teammates of all levels the ability to interact with our diverse group of clients. We are recruiting a new class of college graduates to support our growing benefits consulting practice. College hires are a key part of our future success, and we’ve curated an extensive training program to develop the next generation of leaders geared toward generalist health and welfare consulting. Building upon this foundational training, you will have the opportunity to pursue various specialty tracks (as noted above) in addition to the day-to-day work as a generalist consultant.

The successful candidate will be an integral member of the B&B team for a summer, following the path of an incoming Analyst, consulting with clients on all aspects of health and welfare benefits. Primary job responsibilities include:
