Part-Time AI and Python Instructor

About the Role

Creators Lab is seeking an engaging AI Instructor to teach middle and high school students the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, including how AI works, basics of neural networks, and introductory Python programming using Google Colab. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys breaking down complex ideas into fun, age-appropriate, hands-on learning experiences.

Duties

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons on AI concepts tailored for middle and high school students
• Create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that encourages participation and curiosity
• Manage student behavior effectively to maintain a positive learning atmosphere
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to support their understanding of AI fundamentals
• Ensure safety protocols are followed, including basic first aid when necessary
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to develop curriculum materials and activities
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student engagement and progress
• Incorporate creative teaching methods such as hands-on projects, demonstrations, or group activities

Required Qualifications

• Experience teaching or mentoring middle or high school students
• Strong foundational knowledge of:
• Artificial Intelligence concepts
• Machine Learning basics
• Python programming
• Comfortable using Google Colab for instruction
• Ability to explain technical concepts in simple, relatable terms
• Strong communication, patience, and classroom presence

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in computer science, data science, engineering, or related field
• Experience teaching coding, robotics, STEM, or AI programs for youth
• Familiarity with visual ML tools, datasets, or beginner neural network demos
• Prior curriculum or lesson-plan development experience
