Summer 2026 Intern - Cryogenic Probe Station
The physical sciences research organization at Western Digital is looking for a summer intern to help re-establish its cryogenic measurement capabilities. The intern will work with research engineers to re-qualify our cryogenic probe stations and other test equipment for measuring samples below liquid nitrogen temperatures. The intern will also help establish electrical measurement procedures using this equipment on a variety of samples including YBCO-based devices.
Qualifications
Required:
The intern should be a graduate student student in physics, electrical engineering, materials science, or a related field. The student should have hands-on experience in cryogenic measurement equipment.
Preferred:
It would be especially helpful if the intern has experience in building cryogenic apparatus and/or electrical probe stations.
