Construction Management/Architectural Intern

What You’ll Learn:

The Architectural or Construction Management Intern will play an integral role in supporting project teams throughout the design and construction lifecycle. Interns will gain hands-on exposure to architectural coordination, construction management, and project documentation while working closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders. This internship provides practical, real-world experience and serves as an entry point into future full-time opportunities within construction, architecture, or project management.

 

Internship Overview:

  • 10–12-week program beginning Summer 2026
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week; Monday–Friday schedule
  • Competitive hourly pay

What You’ll Do:

As an Architectural or Construction Management Intern, you will assist with project planning, scheduling, and coordination of architectural and construction activities. You will support the review and preparation of construction drawings, specifications, and submittals, while helping manage RFIs, change orders, and submittal logs.

You will participate in site visits to monitor construction progress, document observations, and track punch lists. In addition, you will update and maintain project documentation such as meeting minutes, reports, and schedules.

You will collaborate closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to support compliance with design intent, building codes, safety standards, and quality requirements. The role also includes assisting with quantity take-offs, cost comparisons, bid evaluations, sustainability initiatives, and coordination between architectural, structural, and MEP teams.

Intern Program Requirements:

  • Ability to provide an unofficial transcript
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and project delivery processes
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office; familiarity with project management tools such as Procore, MS Project, or Primavera is a plus
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Strong time management, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
