Business Job Title: Project Engineer Intern, New Product Development
Job Summary:
The Engineering Co-0p will be able to harness the “entrepreneurial mindset in an innovative environment and build on market leadership”. The Engineering Co-Op role will be part of a high performing team participating and contributing to product design, development, testing by applying design engineering principles and practices. The Intern will manage assigned portions of product development projects.
Job Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development of innovative concepts, including creating prototypes and conducting competitive evaluations.
Create and update 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using Creo.
Utilize CAD and design tools to revise and modify designs under the guidance of a Senior Engineer.
Support the design, development, implementation, and analysis of electromechanical components, systems, and products by following established procedures.
Perform routine engineering design tasks and calculations using standard techniques.
Assist in conducting tests and analyzing results to ensure compliance with specifications.
Prepare clear and concise documentation, including meeting notes, task summaries, and engineering test reports.
Job Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a degree seeking program for Engineering.
Basic understanding of mechanical devices, electromechanical components, electrical connections, and home appliances.
Ability to identify design or application issues using sound engineering principles.
Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and electronic—with the ability to provide regular status updates and articulate technical information effectively in English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with basic mechanical tools and instruments.
Ability to author and manage Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs) through established workflow processes.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to move safely throughout all areas of the office and plant as needed, with or without accommodation
Work in office environment using computer for extended periods of time.
