Summer Camp Staff

The Diabetes Youth Foundation of Indiana is looking for fun, energetic, and motivated individuals to join our summer staff! Camp is a great opportunity to build life skills, have fun, create lasting friendships, and be a role model for the younger generation.

Positions include:

Counselors (Ages 18+): Are responsible for oversight of campers, provide leadership for cabin, work alongside medical staff, participate in all camp activities, and create a positive camp environment. In-Cabin, Overnight Position Sunday-Saturday $70/Day

Instructors (Ages 18+): Include Diabetes Education, Nature Center, Arts & Crafts, Day Camp Lead; For more information, please contact Kylie Powell at kylie@dyfi.org. Instructors are an out-of-bunk position and are not required to stay overnight. $80+/Day

High Ropes Instructors (Ages 18+):Responsible for camper and staff safety while climbing the High Challenge Ropes Course and Rock Wall, various duties, and assist with daily logs. Climbing experience preferred, but not required. Will train and certify on site during training week. Ropes Staff are an out-of-bunk position and are not required to stay overnight. $85/Day

Lifeguards (Ages 16+): Are responsible for camper and staff safety during pool time, various pool duties, and assist with daily logs. Must be certified. Lifeguards are an out-of-bunk position and are not required to stay overnight. $85/Day

Kitchen Staff (Ages 18+): For more information, please contact Kylie Powell at kylie@dyfi.org. Out-of-bunk position, cooks are not required to stay overnight. $125/Day

*All staff must be able to pass a criminal background check and be up-to-date on all required immunizations. Because of our special medical needs population, no immunization exemptions will be excepted.
