Marketing Assistant
Position Description
Assists with marketing functions for the organization, including routine operational tasks.
Work Performed
- Creates, edits and modifies advertisements and other publications as directed
- Takes photos for various marketing materials
- Monitors online/social media chatter about BASC related services
- Creates images for use on company Web site
- Creates marketing materials as directed
- Works various company events (Open House, Summer Orientations, Focus Groups, Themed Dinners, etc.)
- Brainstorms contest/promotions ideas
- Orders office supplies
- Monitors department email accounts
- Assists in production of print publications – including making copies, assembling materials, making deliveries/pick-ups at print shop
- Provides administrative support
- Provides support with special projects
- Types memos and other documents needed
- Maintains spreadsheets
- Data input
- Assists customers

- Ability to recognize good artistic design and create well designed materials
- Punctual, dependable and responsible
- Detail orientated
- Neat, clean, professional appearance
- Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to interact with others in a professional manner.
- Ability to operate appropriate equipment such as computer, calculator, copier, scanner
Knowledge of BASC rules and regulations
Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled as a student at least half-time status at SUNY Brockport
- Exceptional computer skills needed and basic knowledge of graphic design.
- Must be competent in MS Office software.
- Experience in Google Mail (including Docs), Canva, Publisher, Photoshop, and Illustrator preferred, but not required.
- Must be self-starter.
- Good customer service skills required.
- Public speaking skills preferred.
- Valid Drivers License in good standing is preferred
