Operations & Execution Associate

Operations & Execution Associate

About Jolt

Jolt is an innovative platform committed to showcasing new, significant films often missed by mainstream distribution networks. Our goal is to forge connections between filmmakers and worldwide audiences, ensuring creators maintain ownership and future monetization rights. With a focus on select films available each month and a revenue-sharing model, Jolt operates ad-free, emphasizing the value of content over quantity.

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for an Operations & Execution Associate — a highly organized, proactive operator who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution and who can turn complex, moving parts into clean systems, timelines, and results. This is a critical role supporting the Chief of Staff and leadership team across business operations, external screenings, and filmmaker projects.

Responsibilities

The Operations & Execution Lead is responsible for making things happen across Jolt. You will:

  • Turn strategy into execution
  • Own cross-functional timelines and workflows
  • Keep projects, screenings, and internal initiatives on track
  • Build and support the operational backbone that allows the team to move fast without breaking things

You’ll work across film teams, marketing, partnerships, finance, and leadership — and will be trusted with high-impact, high-visibility initiatives.

Execution & Project Leadership

  • Own and drive execution across multiple parallel initiatives (film launches, screenings, partnerships, internal ops projects)
  • Translate high-level goals into concrete plans, timelines, and deliverables
  • Keep projects moving, unblock bottlenecks, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks
  • Run cross-functional timelines and hold owners accountable

External Screenings & Film Operations

  • Oversee the operational execution of community, partner, and theatrical screenings
  • Manage screening workflows, approvals, assets, logistics, and post-event reporting
  • Coordinate across filmmakers, venues, partners, and internal teams
  • Build scalable systems for tracking inbound requests, active screenings, and outcomes

Business Operations & Systems

  • Support core business operations including internal processes, documentation, and workflows
  • Improve and maintain systems across Asana, Google Drive, Slack, and help identify tools that streamlines operations
  • Create workflow templates, checklists, and playbooks to increase clarity and efficiency
  • Identify operational friction and better ways of working

Chief of Staff & Leadership Support

  • Act as a right hand to the Chief of Staff and/or CEO on priority initiatives
  • Drive special projects, internal rollouts, and cross-team initiatives
  • Prepare materials, track follow-ups, and ensure leadership priorities turn into action
  • Bring structure and momentum to fast-moving, ambiguous work

Visibility, Tracking & Accountability

  • Maintain clear visibility into what’s happening across the organization
  • Contribute to simple dashboards, trackers, and reporting systems that deliver reliable information on-demand
  • Ensure leadership always knows: what’s on track, what’s at risk, and what needs attention

Who You Are

  • A natural operator who loves building order out of chaos
  • Extremely organized, structured, and detail-oriented
  • Calm under pressure, great at juggling multiple workstreams and know when to ask for help
  • Proactive, not reactive — you spot problems before they become fires and anticipate next steps
  • Comfortable working across creative, strategic, and operational teams and respect the workflows involved
  • You don’t need perfect instructions to kick off new projects  — you build the plan and ask for feedback
  • You’re discreet and trustworthy with sensitive internal and external information

What You Bring

  • 3+ years experience in operations, project management, production, consulting, or startups
  • Strong track record of owning complex, cross-functional execution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Deep comfort with tools like Asana, Google Drive, Slack, and can use AI as a tool and not a crutch
  • Experience in media, film, tech, or mission-driven orgs is a big plus

You care about stories, impact, and building things that matter. It's not a job. It's a mission.

This is listed initially as an internship. There may be continued full-time opportunities at the end of this semester.

Please share a resume and cover letter explaining your interest in this role and why you're a great match. Do NOT reach out to Jolt's customer service or general inquires team for updates on applications. All other inquires may be sent to jobs@joltspace.com. Thanks!
