Camp Androscoggin is the summer home for 250 boys between ages 8 and 15 and over 100 staff. Located on Lake Androscoggin in Wayne, ME, for almost 120 years campers have been coming to camp to participate in sports, arts, trips and create life long friendships.
As a radio counselor, you will lead programming for campers 8-15 years old who are interested in creating podcasts, DJing music, storytelling, music production, reporting, the sky is the limit!
Radio counselors work within that Playhouse which also houses the Drama and Music departments. All three work together to teach age-appropriate lessons to our campers, who have a large range of experience.
With a performance stage equipped with musical instruments, microphones and speakers, as well as a separate booth for radio and recording, its space and materials are available for both lesson plans and personal use. Counselors in these areas will have the opportunity to develop their own projects and inspire campers to pursue their own creativity. .
Days are divided between bunk responsibilities and working with campers in your activity area.
Position dates are June 19th to August 14th, 2026.
Travel, room, and board are all included.
Requirements
- Knowledge of recording equipment and associated computer programs ( we are open to using what works for you )
- Willingness and ability to maintain a safe environment
- The ability to assist with multiple programs and work as a team
- Flexibility and strong problem-solving skills
- A great attitude
