Underwriting Assistant-Life Insurance

Join our dedicated Submit Team and play a crucial role in the initial processing of new life insurance applications. You will be instrumental in ensuring a smooth and efficient start to the policy lifecycle, acting as the first point of contact between new applications and our Underwriting team. This role requires a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and delivering exceptional service to our internal partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and manage new life insurance applications across multiple systems.
  • Accurately set up new policy numbers and perform essential data entry.
  • Organize and prepare all application files to ensure they are complete and ready for the underwriting process.
  • Process new life insurance business quickly and efficiently to meet service standards.
  • Provide exceptional internal customer service, responding to internal inquiries with clarity and professionalism.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and apply creative problem-solving to various application scenarios.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to be a self-starter and work independently.
  • Confidence in navigating and working within multiple computer systems simultaneously.
  • High adaptability and ability to embrace process and system changes.
  • Top-notch communication skills (written and verbal).
