Leadership Trainer Internship

FOCUS Training is looking for highly motivated students to join our Leadership Trainer Intern team. FOCUS delivers high-energy, in-person leadership and college readiness programs to students across the U.S. Interns will travel with experienced trainers to facilitate interactive programs for middle and high school students. They will learn to lead a team, develop and deliver educational workshops effectively, and polish their public speaking skills. As a leadership development company, FOCUS Training uses experiential learning techniques, dynamic trainers, and deep content to deliver exceptional leadership development experiences.
Requirements
- Junior status or higher from a regionally accredited college or university
- 2.8 GPA or higher
- Must be available to travel between the end of May through the end of July 2024 (including some weekends) as assigned
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Previous public speaking or facilitation experience is preferred but not required
- Must have access to a computer with a working webcam and reliable internet access
Job Overview
- End of May through end of July commitment
- Facilitate interactive leadership programs for 6th - 12th-grade student groups ranging in size from 10 to 200+ participants
- Utilize Zoom and various virtual learning platforms to work remotely with FOCUS staff and student participants when necessary
- Travel domestically for program facilitation if/when needed; travel-associated costs to be paid for by FOCUS Training
- Interact with clients and students in a professional manner
- Assist in developing content and creating interactive leadership activities
