Job Description:
This 10-week program located in Lyndhurst, NJ, will take place on June 1st, 2026 to August 6th, 2026.
Interns will work at various locations in a variety of departments to get a full picture of the supply chain industry. Interns will gain exposure in the following areas:
- Experiencing NRS corporate culture by shadowing and collaborating with team members in various departments
- Financial & Operational Analysis
- Work daily with operational leaders to identify process inefficiencies
- Creating and developing financial models to enhance operational performance
- Traveling to other locations to see how the company is run across the NJ region
- Work on new projects to create efficiency in the warehouse as well as yards across the country
- Learn about the different processes in operations and what value they bring to the company
- Preparing daily operational and managerial reports to develop operational and financial metrics
- Transportation
- Experiencing the work of the truck drivers through a hands-on opportunity
- Warehousing and Distribution

Coming into the internship, you are not required to know about the trucking industry, but by the end you will understand how the entire process works from bidding on contracts for new business to shipping goods to your favorite stores. Candidate Requirements:
- Working toward a bachelors in: Supply Chain Management, Industrial Systems Engineer, Related Business Major or other related majors
- Majors are not viewed heavily, so do not hesitate to apply if you fall out of this scope
- Spanish ability is not required but a plus
- Rising junior or senior with a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong willingness to learn
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
