This isn’t just a role overseeing compliance; it is an invitation to unify a diverse educational landscape and set a new standard for excellence in Southwestern New Hampshire.
The Vision
As the Director, you won't just follow a map — you’ll help draw it. You will lead a comprehensive system of care, integrating Special Education, Guidance, Nursing, ELL, and 504 services. Your mission is to strengthen the bridge between seven unique districts and a vast network of specialists (from Psychologists to SLPs to OTs and Social Workers) to ensure every student, regardless of their starting point, has a clear path to success.
Your Impact
- System-Wide Leadership: Direct the activities, operations, and strategic planning for student services across a multi-district system.
- Collaborative Innovation: Partner with professional colleagues and other agencies to develop programs that meet the evolving needs of a modern student body.
- Holistic Advocacy: Oversee critical support roles including Homeless Coordination and ELL, ensuring access and support remain at the forefront of our mission.
- Team Empowerment: Lead and mentor a dynamic staff of educators and service providers, fostering a culture of professional growth and shared purpose.
Who You Are
You are a strategist with a Master’s degree and a heart for student advocacy. You understand that "administration" is a tool for "transformation."
- Credentials: Master’s Degree in Special Education, Psychology, or Special Education Administration.
- Certification: Certified (or eligible for certification) as a Special Education Administrator.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in school psychology or special education, including at least 2 years of supervisory leadership. (Comparable training/experience will be considered for the right visionary).
