Data Engineering Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Engineering Intern to support data platform development and analytics initiatives within Commercial Product Supply (CPS). CPS oversees manufacturing plants globally and is responsible for ensuring reliable, efficient, and compliant product supply across regions. This role offers hands-on experience working with global data systems that support plant operations, supply chain visibility, and business decision-making.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Databricks
  • Develop, transform, and analyze datasets using PySpark, SQL, and Python
  • Support ingestion of data from global manufacturing plants and enterprise systems
  • Perform data validation, quality checks, and monitoring to ensure data reliability
  • Collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues
  • Participate in data modeling, performance tuning, and optimization efforts
  • Contribute to documentation of data workflows, pipelines, and technical standards
  • Occasionally support lightweight web development tasks for internal dashboards or tools

Education Requirements:

  • Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree or have graduated from their degree program no earlier than December 2025 in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Related Work Experience:

  • Prior internship, academic projects, or relevant coursework in data engineering, software development, or analytics preferred
  • Exposure to cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, is a plus

Functional Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Working knowledge or coursework experience with PySpark and distributed data processing
  • Familiarity with Databricks and Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data modeling, and relational databases
  • Basic web development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or similar) are a plus

Monthly Salary (undergraduate): $4,506

Monthly Salary (graduate): $6,066

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Dates of Internship: May 18 – July 31, 2026
