Social Media Marketing Internship

Our U.S. team partners closely with physicians and patients to bring high-quality education, clinical support, and innovative radiofrequency ablation solutions to communities nationwide.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Marketing Intern with strong social media and digital operations skills to support our expanding marketing programs.

 

Position Overview

This internship is designed to identify and train promising undergraduates in design, communications, business, or marketing to contribute meaningfully to STARmed America’s mission.

The Marketing Intern will support the execution of STARmed America’s digital marketing, social media, CRM upkeep, event coordination, and brand communication initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who loves building content, designing visuals, managing multiple social channels, and analyzing performance data. You’ll help us engage two distinct audiences:

  1. Physicians and clinical professionals
  2. Patients seeking education about minimally invasive care

You will work directly with the Marketing Manager to create an organized, scalable, and consistent digital presence for STARmed America. Interns will gain hands-on experience across multiple marketing functions while supporting strategic initiatives that directly impact STARmed’s growth and visibility.

 

Responsibilities:

Social Media & Content Creation (Primary Responsibility)

  • Brainstorm and develop monthly social media content tailored to physicians and patient audiences. Contribute ideas to grow our social presence.
  • Create original graphics, short videos, infographics, and branded visuals following STARmed’s identity guidelines.
  • Write engaging, professional, and SEO-aware social media copy for LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, tailored to the specific audiences we are speaking to. 
  • Manage the scheduling, posting, and daily upkeep of content across all STARmed channels.
  • Track and report monthly analytics, including engagement, reach, follower growth, and campaign performance, and contribute ideas for improvement.
  • Research industry trends, clinical topics, and competitor activities to inform content strategy.
  • Help prepare and brainstorm long-form articles, blogs and newsletters for social media channels and CMS. 

Digital Marketing & CRM Support

  • Support the maintenance and organization of STARmed’s CRM system, including lead entry, list management, and campaign tracking.
  • Help prepare marketing automation workflows, newsletters, and email campaigns.
  • Assist with CMS updates (content uploads, page edits, SEO metadata, event pages).

Event, Conference & Training Support

  • Support planning and management of virtual and in-person events, including conferences, trade shows, symposiums, and webinars, etc. 
  • Assist in preparing marketing assets for conferences, workshops, and training programs (banners, slides, flyers, print materials).
  • Coordinate logistics such as attendee lists, materials inventory, and post-event follow-up.
  • Support live event documentation (photos, videos, social media posts).

Marketing Operations

  • Help maintain digital asset libraries (photos, case visuals, brochures, templates)
  • Support the development of patient education and physician training materials.
  • Support the development of marketing business plans by analyzing markets and recommending initiatives to meet marketing objectives.
  • Provide general administrative support to the marketing manager, including data entry, filing, organizing documents, and other tasks.

Qualifications

  • Self-starter with a high level of curiosity and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently. 
  • Excellent teamwork and follow-up skills to maintain prompt team communications 
  • Problem-solving skills to handle any issues that arise during the planning or execution of an event.
  • Quick learning skills and proficiency in digital platforms such as Hubspot, Zoom, WordPress, Squarespace, Asana, Cvent, Eventbrite, etc. 
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
  • Excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills to balance a full workload in a fast-paced entrepreneurial working environment. 
  • Ability to manage budget and contract negotiation.
  • Ability to work across time zones.
  • Comfortable communicating with clinical professionals.

 

Required

  • Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Business, Design, Communications or a related field.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).
  • Experience with Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools for visual content creation.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.
  • Interest in healthcare, medical devices, or digital marketing.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Must be available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for 6 months.
  • Must have access to a computer and a reliable internet connection.
  • Outstanding communication and follow-up skills, with the ability to respond promptly and professionally in a remote work environment.
  • Some events may require travel within the US.

 

Preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in growing corporate social media/digital presence, marketing support services, branding, and/or graphic arts, preferably in a healthcare/medical device-related company.
  • Experience with prior CRM platform.
  • Basic data analysis or reporting experience.
  • Familiarity with video editing tools (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, etc.).
  • Previous internship or coursework in marketing, communications, digital media, or related fields.

 

Position Details
