Summer Internship

Our summer internship program is a tremendous opportunity to be part of the EV industrial revolution in process across North America with two of the most prominent brand names in the electronics and automotive industries.  We are searching for energetic, innovative and passionate people to be part of this tremendous opportunity to form the future of vehicle manufacturing in North America. This position reports to the manager of the specific department.

 

Potential internship opportunities include:

  • Process Technology team - working with engineering teams on manufacturing processes within Electrode, Stack, Assembly, Formation and Module production areas working on projects to improve overall process performance in quality and throughput.
  • Maintenance teams throughout the facility - working on process and facility related equipment preventative and predicative maintenance plans, projects and continuous improvement plans.
  • Production teams within Electrode, Stack, Assembly, Formation and Module production areas focusing on key performance indicators (KPI) to meet site performance targets.
  • Quality team supporting the entire operation in the safety and reliability of EV products produced, as well as supplier quality management and customer support functions.
  • Finance team supporting budget and forecasting processes, working cross-functionally with all teams with the StarPlus Energy structure.
  • Infrastructure will assist in the management of overall power distribution and operate, inspect, and repair energy distribution equipment to prevent equipment failure.
  • Health & Safety will conduct weekly line walks to ensure H&S practices are being observed and to note any at-risk behaviors, unsafe conditions, faulty equipment or non-compliance with any H&S related policies/regulations. They will also manage annual safety trainings.
  • Environmental team will lead, implement and optimize environmental management systems (standards, procedures, processes) in the assigned area.  They will also partner with facilities to incorporate site/corporate sustainability initiatives and goals into facility programs and processes including proposed project changes, permitting needs/compliance requirements. 
  • Procurement - coordinate activities with other departments to assure proper delivery, quality, reliability, and low cost consistency.  Document and maintain necessary records and files. May work with agents and customs brokers for overseas material buying.

Qualifications:

Basic:

  • High School Diploma
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Intern must work a minimum of 10 weeks

 

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work around the potential exposure to dust and chemicals 
  • Ability to wear appropriate PPE as deemed essential for the job function
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
