Snow Lion Preschool Teacher or Lead Teacher

Snow Lion Preschool is looking for an energetic, fun-loving, organized individual to join our small teaching team.

Level II teaching credential preferred. Experience working with young children required. 

Hours: 8am-12:30pm Wednesdays & Fridays with additional hours possible and opportunity to grow.

Compensation higher than industry standard and commensurate with experience.

This position holds full responsibility for creating, implementing, supporting and evaluating the Snow Lion Preschool program, philosophy and teaching practices.

Snow Lion Preschool is a contemplative school for children ages 16 months to five years serving families in the Boulder Valley area in Colorado. We focus on experiential, play-based learning that depends on connection and nurtures self-discovery, curiosity and loving kindness towards self and others.

Founded in 1995 as a small playgroup, we have grown into a vibrant community of hundreds of families. We celebrate diversity, inside and out.

Snow Lion Preschool is inspired by the Tibetan snow lion—a symbol of playfulness, curiosity, clarity, and unconditional delight. We see, explore and celebrate these qualities in every child. Our core values include connection, self-love, compassion, emotional exploration, interdependence, and an appreciation for stillness amidst constant change.

We draw on the works of Piaget, Dewey, Vygotsky, and Csikszentmihalyi, in our play-based approach. We nurture natural growth and a love of learning through imagination, collaboration, and experience rather than formal academic teaching.
