Math and Science Tutor
Tutors Impacting Public Schools (TIPS) is hiring classroom tutors to improve student success, support teacher and school needs, and enrich public school classrooms for the 2025-2026 school year! More details about our work and impact can be found on our website here.
We are looking for tutors who:

- Will communicate and collaborate effectively with educators
In this position you will:
- Support mainly Algebra 2 and Pre-calculus through small group and one-on-one tutoring at West Seattle High School (3000 California Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98116)
- Assist teachers and other school staff with group instruction, classroom activities, and special projects
- Build valuable leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
- Develop professional relationships with faculty, staff, and TIPS administration
- Receive paid training on Race & Equity in Education, Culturally Responsive Teaching, Student Engagement & Management, creating Inclusive & Welcoming School Environments, Social Emotional Learning strategies, and more!
- Get paid $24/hour
- Accrue paid sick leave
Schedule:
- Start Date: February 3rd or 4th, 2026
- Two days per week (likely Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 8:45am to 3:45pm
- 14 hours a week
- Schedule is fixed to meet school's needs
- Follows Seattle Public Schools schedule for breaks and holidays
