Quest Teacher
The Quest Teacher position would require approximately 5–8 hours per week, with this position starting in February. The Quest Teacher would come to Alger Park Church on Wednesday evenings as part of EaT Night programming, with church volunteers provided to support the program.
Wednesday night programming runs from February 25 through April 1. Each evening begins with dinner from 5:45–6:20 pm, shared with neighbors and church members. After dinner, programming for both adults and children begins at 6:30 and ends at 7:30 pm. The Quest program serves children (1st-6th grade) from Alger Park Church and the surrounding neighborhood. Children are grouped together for Quest, with an average attendance of about 15 children per night.
The Quest Teacher will be responsible for planning and leading a short Bible lesson. Lessons can be grouped together with an overarching theme or independent of each other. Music and movement are encouraged (in the past, videos with motions have been shown). After the lesson is finished, the Fellowship Hall is an available space for games.
Compensation for this role is $20 per hour.
